This picture (actually a compilation of pictures) was shot over a two day period at various 4th of July fireworks shows. Choice photographs were scanned, arranged, and then the text was added. |
| That greenish-looking item behind sealed glass on the wall is the Declaration of Independence located at the U.S. Archives at Washington, D.C. This was photographed handheld with a digital camera without a flash. No flash photography of the document is allowed, because of the damage it might do to the document. The document itself is unfortunately very faded and barely readable. |

This strange-looking plane is the V-22 "Osprey". Obviously this is a vertical takeoff plane, but note that the blades on two turboprop engines are so large that the plane has to take off vertically.

I enjoy photographing the subtle and interesting shows of nature. One summer, I was fortunate to come across several large mushrooms. I think nature easily matches or surpasses any piece of man-made artwork. |

| These two pictures are of the same mushroom. The top or cap of this mushroom grew so big, the stem could not support the weight. Note the coin (penny) in the bottom left of each photo for reference. |
